Alan Moore (Chairman)Alan has worked in the UK electricity industry for more than 40 years, holding a wide range of senior management posts. He was MD of National Wind Power Ltd (since re-branded as "npower renewables") from 1997 to 2004 during which time NWP was the UK's leading wind developer, owner and operator with 13 onshore wind farms. The Company developed and built the UK's first major offshore wind farm at North Hoyle and three wind farms in the USA. As RWE npower's Director of Renewables, Alan was also responsible for a 50MW portfolio of hydro plant and its biomass co-firing business. He is Chairman of the industry-side of the Government's Renewables Advisory Board (RAB) and a former Chairman of the British Wind Energy Association where he remains Board Member with lead responsibility for Marine technologies. He is Chairman of the COWRIE fund, a Director of the Ventus venture capital trusts which invest in renewable energy projects, and a Director of Partnerships for Renewables Ltd which develops and invests in renewable projects on public sector property. |
