Dr Carolyn Heeps recently joined Fred Olsen Renewables Limited (FORL) in July 2008 in the newly established position of Offshore Projects Manager where she will be responsible for delivering the FORL offshore renewables strategy.

Prior to this she worked at The Crown Estate, joining the Marine Estate in 2001 as Environmental Policy Manager and progressing to become Head of Policy and Sustainable Development. On joining The Crown Estate one of her first tasks was to establish COWRIE and its programme of work.  Prior to joining The Crown Estate she worked in academia for many years, running a very successful masters programme in Coastal Zone Management, undertaking research and delivering community based education projects. She has considerable expertise in marine resource management and marine nature conservation.

Carolyn is Company Secretary, oversees the Programme and Data Management work, chairs the Data group and contributes to all the other working groups.
