Technical Working Groups

The Technical Working Groups represent the 4 main areas of COWRIE Ltd work:

  • Generic environmental research
  • Data and information management, archiving and dissemination
  • Education and communication
  • Future strategic work

    The Technical Working Groups comprise invited experts and developer representation. Each group is Chaired by a Director reporting back to the Board.


    Technical Working Groups are responsible for:

  • Technical advice
  • Identifying and implementing a programme of work,
  • Liaising with each Technical Working Group through the Programme
  • Management Team
  • Reviewing interim and final reports for publication
  • Reporting the outputs of the Group and project progress back to their own organisation(s) and other interested parties
  • Ensuring that outputs are published and widely disseminated in a variety of format.

 

Secretariat and Administrative Support
The COWRIE Board and Technical Working Groups are supported and facilitated by a Secretariat (Nature Bureau) who also provide Programme Management to bring forward each research project. The Board has appointed Geodata Institute as the Data Advisory Team and E-Bloc are responsible for website development.
