Also known as the dog fish or rock salmon, their eggs are called mermaids purses.  This small shark is the most commonly seen shark in British shallow coastal waters.  Sharks may be sensitive to electro magnetic fields produced by cables transporting electricity from the turbines, so studies are being carried out to find out more.
