BERR, COWRIE and DEFRA have organised and sponsored a major international scientific conference on environmental effects of offshore windfarms.  This conference is an outcome of the European Policy Workshop on Offshore Wind Power Deployment (Berlin 2007).  The conference will be held in London’s Royal Institution on the 16th and 17th June 2008, and will be followed by a marine renewable energy research needs and opportunities planning meeting.  For information on the programme, venue and contact details see the conference website www.maree2008.org
