Dead man’s fingers

This is a soft coral, which is a colony of animals related to jellyfish and anemones.  Like anemones, they feed by catching miniscule particles of food in lots of tiny tentacles.  Shaped like fingers, and with the fluffy or mouldy appearance of the tentacles, it is easy to see how this coral got its name.
